While relying fairly heavily on an excerpt from an upcoming book, the author does a wonderful job of concisely delivering the necessary data, relevant figures, and a summary of issues. Some information in the excerpt and introduction is a bit redundant, but the subject is extremely interesting and relevant to the gay-marriage debate that is especially heated right now.

How anyone can suggest that homosexuals would be bad influences as parents is mind-boggling to me. I am surprised at the steadfast ignorance that exists all over the world. The exploitation of the 'exotic' and 'different' nature of gay citizens is absolutely ridiculous. Gay people and straight people are one in the same, and it makes no sense why gay parents would be any worse than straight parents at raising children.
