The long-term environmental value of plug-in electric vehicles somewhat eludes me, as power generation from coal- and oil-fired plants is still too prevalent (and in many cases, quite dirty). Still, I'm glad to see the auto industry moving forward towards better fuel efficiency/less reliability on fossil fuels within vehicles.
