Behind the lines Special Reports are often good copy and can offer important insight not reported by more traditional stories. This story supports many other reporters, analysts, and spokespeople on key points. It portrays a segment of the population under pressure and provides plenty of quotes and facts to fill in the story line. It is believable and a good story.

This is a fresh look at the war... from the viewpoint of the people living in Iraq, instead of the commanders and politicians making the decisions. A Shia man is interviewed about the deteriorating situation in Iraq, and he gives a very clear picture of how the war is going. It shows the mentality of the Sunni and Shia Iraqis - who view each other as the enemy, rather than viewing themselves as "citizens of Iraq"

This report is well written and interesting. The practical issue of choosing who one talks to based on putting forth ones own agenda speaks reams about the complexities of the politics in Iraq. Sunni v Shia seems to limit America’s relevance.

The problem with this very good story is the reliability of alleged sources. It could be all invented, and it would be interesting to see how some cross examination would be possible. Otherwise a good report.

Much needed "in the trenches" Journalism. This is a interesting story that feels like it wasn't written in the Green Zone
