The usual 2008 Depression article: management threatens bankruptcy that if unions don’t make major pay-cuts, healthcare reductions, and retirement concessions, the 100-year old company is history. Frightened, unions make concessions. Big deal!! Management ends up going bankrupt anyway–amid crocodile remonstrations about how horrible it is to destroy careers of professionals who gave decades of blood for the company. God! Give me a break!
