Obama's India trip cost 200 million dollars per day

(Video) From the November 3 edition of Fox Business' Follow The Money: So what's Obama about to do? Go on a trip to India that will cost 200 million dollars … per day! It's a trip fit for a king -- er, president: 40 planes, 6 armored cars, the entire Taj Mahal, an entourage of 3,000 people, 3 choppers, 30 dog-sniffing dogs. Total cost: $200 million bucks a day!" This report gets its information from a dubious Indian news source, so it tries to make up the gap in facts by using flashy graphics.

This biased opinion news segment appears solely based on an erroneous report from an indian newspaper, with no conclusive factual evidence to support its claims. This segment appears to be politically motivated to make Obama look bad, and mostly consists of unfounded assertions, rather than any serious attempt at factual verification. This makes it a great example of bad journalism.

I was pleased to note that Fox News political analyst Kirsten Powers questions Bolling's misleading claims about the cost of this trip. It's encouraging to see that she was allowed to disagree on-air with these allegations, despite her management's generally partisan policy.

This is an example put onto NewsTrust as an intentional example of bad journalism. Neophytes may find it confusing to see such backwards stories here, because oldophytes still have a hard time trying to figure out how to rate a good example of bad journalism. This is camp: so bad it is good.

After all the outrage and attacks on Obama here, which are typical for Fox, does anybody wonder why the gullible low information fauxiphiles are also outraged and buy into the hate flavored kool-aid?

This is a good story but at the same time, you can't say too much against the president. All he's done for us is good and he's trying to change things for the better. People just can't take someone trying to change things. Its takes time to make things better and if American people can't wait for change then maybe someone else should step up and make a new society that can change the world. At the same time That woman was right no one said anything about Bush taking vacations while we were at war.

I think that this is the opposite of good journalism. The "facts" in this story are not backed up and I am confused by why any time would be devoted to something like this when there are far more important matters that news stations could be covering.
