This is a well written, well reasoned opinion piece. A study by Lawrence Berkeley Lab found that the cost of local solar installations has dropped as installer have become more familiar and skilled.

this story encapsulates the scope of lchallenges of many types in developing new sources for the nation's energy . the writer discusses transmission grids, distributed projects vs. mega-scale installations as well as how many years are involved for lowering prices and how varied the projects should be to begin to accomplish the goal of change.
