carefully written, clearly sourced, and reinforced by danner's previous writings and reports by many other sources, including the torturer John Kiriakou, cited within the article.

Torture is against all international legal conventions and all moral ones as well. Our national narrative hinged on our being different from the Nazis, yet here we are, acting like with the worst of 'em in treatment of detainees (excluding, always excluding, the so-called final solution of the so-called Jewish problem).
