The executive summary wasn't as helpful as reading the reports for each individual media sector. The trend I saw is that people are consuming more media than in the past, but not necessarily more news.

A small summary of the state of the newspaper industry. While not as dire as people have been predicting, still theres problems coming, and the thinking hats had better be on the right heads.

hearing this project director today on npr, the points i noticed most were: 1) that print brings in the revenue (from ads) but readership is more and more moving to the web where revenue is not great, and 2) that so far, in cities with two major papers, only one has folded. this is a summary of the study.and points out that the 'death of newspapers is not [yet, anyway] imminent.
