Why does this not surprise me? In a well written article that is very informative, if true, means the nation would have been but on martial law, for the first time in history. While Bush & co. have done lots of damage to this country, if they would have shot at innocent civilians, this country would have exploded.

Why is it that these papers are just now coming out? Are all of Bush's deceitful lies going to keep coming out over the next few years? This is like ... More »

An interesting article with some good context and background information. Nothing new, the destruction of tapes was revealed over a year ago, not clear whether these were new ones? The 1st Amedmant I am sure was discussed, as was I am sure the bombing of building in residential areas if terrorists are found with WMD's. Discussions of numerous options are always on the table, some are abhorent but perhaps needed. Glad to hear about it just the same, always good to get it out.

Governments, even ours do and consider all types of action in times of distress, 911 was certainly one. Roosevelt suspended all the civil rights of ... More »

Isikoff briefly mentions the several Yoo memos and their direct effects, but skirts expanding on the grand issue of the destruction of the U.S. Constitution.

Stopping Yoo depends on you. Restore the constitution and the rule of law, no matter who is president. The Military Commissions Act needs to be ... More »

Although much information is this article is old information, two items were new: that the Bush administration considered suspending the first amendment; and that civilian targets—apartments, offices, and ships could be attacked if terrorists were even suspected of being there. SUSPECTED, not even sure? Knowing Bushie intelligence, it could easily mean blowing Hell out of innocents.

One wishes Bushies had suspended the first amendment. Perhaps that outrageous, illegal act would have woken some of those heads-in-the-sand ... More »
