Cole is one of the foremost experts on the Middle East. This is far from being one of his best pieces. But it does an adequate job of explaining the current impasse.

Obama and Clinton need to read this piece carefully. Israel's insane effort to continue to steal Palestinian land and water, etc., is putting vital national interests of the US into jeopardy.

This is quite an in depth piece about the situation in the on going peace process. It is well sourced from the Arab side but lacking in the Israeli side. For example, does Netanyahu speak for all Israelis?
