Butters presents a relatively factual and realistic report of politics among Palestinians. No interviews with AIPAC or their closely linked politicians are included. The article does not mention Hamas claims that Fatah helped the Israelis select targets in Gaza. Such charges may make unity talks futile, and ensure Hamas winning the people.

The official U.S. fiction about Gaza may be slower to change than Time reporting, but good reporting may aid such changes.
