Not very surprising news to us Washingtonians. I find it a bit strange to categorize rural eastern Washington as "blue collar." The story focuses on the "religious" ties of sexual orientation bigots, and barely mentions the large religious support for human rights in the Seattle area. Journalistically quite so-so.

Yes, this is quality journalism. The writer sticks to the facts and answers the questions that arise from them. My only criticism is of how the data are displayed. Comparing percentages approving the measure to the percentages of those rejecting it is misleading at first glance.

in contrast to the Maine vote, this one will probably pass. It is a travesty when those with rights deny the same rights to those that have been excluded.
