This is an opinion piece, which some folks will say lacks balance, but it explains what is being lost in a vivid fashion.In the links section, I've added a letter from Bo Webb, who is a WV native. for a long time, many many years, most of the public hasn't seen or heard of much real activism on behalf of issues which are relevant to the larger society. reading this piece includes us into that type of protest --making the issue more real, more understandable. as such it provides a service to all of us about our democracy, and about caring about issues.
