Quality journalism requires a basis in reality. This analysis either lacks that, or is intentionally disingenuous. A) The Republicans did not have a 2000-2004 edge on foreign policy issues; they sold a lie via a right wing mainstream media complex and hoodwinked the public. B) The party did not choose McCain; the people chose McCain as the least of the horrible choices among the candidates.
