This opinion piece states an argument that illegal immigrants in America is also helping the economy. The author uses evidence of illegal immigrants as being an issue because those people are illegally here and are not playing income tax, yet if laws are passed to help them, then we can also help our economy. US Business that are supported by illegal immigrants and that they are living here and support our businesses. This presents a complex issue because it states that illegal immigration is wrong yet helpful. It shows that this problem is going to be hard to solve because the different views. This article goes into depth about The Dream Act would be helpful to illegal immigrants. Yet, the article could have dug deeper into illegal immigrants, instead of the stereotypical illegal Mexican immigrants. This is a broad issue that should focus on all illegal immigrants. When reading this article, it made me want to see statistical facts and data of illegal immigrants benefiting our economy and cost of security and deportation of illegal immigrants. This article can impact the public’s view of Passing the Dream Act and being in favor of supporting illegal immigrants. Although, there was insight of how illegal immigration is wrong because it is going against laws, people need to se this issue as a civil right issue. This article presents a racial element in the united states against illegal immigrants yet it supports cross cultural understanding. The author gave an opinion with evidence that supporting immigrants could help our society and how the Dream Act is to better the society.

The frame of this opinion piece was to find a solution to help illegal immigrants. By showing the public that the illegal immigrants support our economy, the author implies that law should be supportive to benefiting our society. This frame focuses on institutional frame because illegal immigrants benefit our business by them staying here. This can help our economy. So by passing the dream act, it will benefit us because many intellectual students will go to American colleges and support the US military. This shows the public that if we as a nation support illegal immigration and help than we can help our boost our society.
