Very clear exposition of a bottom up approach to electric cars

As Lithium batteries become less expensive, do all suggested but with Li rather than Pb batteries. Retrofits like this could create considerable competition to the car companies and force them to produce a "Volks Wagen"Model T Ford Deux Cheveaux" type electric lizi. The market would be huge.
