A mediocre and rather short article presenting a narrow summation of President Obama's first couple of days. If you've been out of touch since Monday, its worth reading. The appointments of the divergent Mr. Mitchell and Hollbrooke by the President and Mrs. Clinton seems blatantly incompatable and inconsistant but not addressed by the writer.

An expert in politics and international affairs, senior editor Hirsh writes with authoritative and succinct focus about the quick erasure of Bush's person and policies. He includes specific examples to make compelling points. His energetic writing style makes the piece enjoyable to read.

That Bushies are so soon confined to the trash bin of history is dramatic, and the author fully details how this came to be. But erasing Bushie disasters won’t be anywhere at all easy, mainly because they are so numerous and so hugely immense. Decades will pass before we cure ourselves of our massive neocon hangover. Or worse, there may not be enough “aspirin” to eradicate it completely.

Mr. Hirsh sets the stage for a different strategy in the up-coming years. Holbrook, Mitchell and maybe Ross are going to change things. People have been trying for over 50 years with no success. Let's hope Obama & co. can at least get them talking.
