The dark side of the inaugural fare in Washington -- private parties, junkets, dinners, bundlers -- is explained fairly and thoroughly in this piece. The Independent uses qualified sourcing and factual evidence about contributions to show the network of money and favors that exists behind the scenes. Highly recommended, especially in light of all the beaming coverage of the inauguration.
