It would not surprise me if the run off election is 'rigged' too by the way of having more polls open than the security can handle, which the UN is saying. The seriousness of the attack on UN is very worrisom, and it reminds me of the awfull attack on the UN field office in Bagdad, where one of the best UN leader was killed among many others. The combination of the different militant groups, who wage a war not only against their own people but also use it as a 'plattform' for threathening the rest of the world. I'm glad I'm not in President Obama's 'shoes'. If there is just timid NATO support for beafing up our military presence, I would think twice. I don't think it's fair to the US and our forces to carry all the heavy lifting and loss of lives in this war, although, we started it but went astray into Iraq. However, how wrong this was, done is done and now we have a different situation and a different government. It seems that the American public doesn't think government has much role in either domestic or international affairs, but any government has important roles, and I hope for the good of all and for safeguaring common interests and wellbeing (eg. the health care reform debate).
