Obama Should Heed Kennedy’s Cuba Lessons When Thinking About Iran

President Obama, 47, will inherit the latest bag of dirty tricks that, so far, have failed to undermine the regime, much less dislodge it from power or cripple its nuclear weapons effort.

“The covert American program, started in early 2008,” New York Times reporter David E. Sanger revealed on Jan. 11, “includes renewed American efforts to penetrate Iran’s nuclear supply chain abroad, along with new efforts, some of them experimental, to ... Full Story »

Please be careful of facts! Iran, at least currently, does NOT have nuclear weapons "on the way" according to the IAEA, which is in the best position to know. A failure to get facts straight casts doubt on the entire article. However, the article contains welcome speculation on a very curious article written by Sanger and published by the NYT. One version of it is here: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/11/washington/11iran.html It discusses Israeli requests for US support of a ... More »

Chilling look into the ideological underpinnings behind the worst US foreign policy decisions of the last half-century, and a delicately-phrased caution to the incoming President.

I suppose it is naive to assume the patriotic PR about the United States being the guiding light of democracy is true. But that myth is the accurate ... More »

Though not very in-depth, an important foreign policy comparison for Obama with significant implications.

This is more opinion piece than special report; however, it is a well reasoned "heads-up" to soon-to-be President Obama.

Interesting article. Great discussion of a lot of crimes, but not one is tagged as a crime. Why not? Grievous error on the part of the author. All of those crimes, and yes, they were criminal actions, were papered over, usually with US bank notes. Disgraceful. Even more disgraceful that they should not be dragged out into the open like a dead rat and dealt with by this author Not recommended reading unless you want to know why it will continue to happen, time and gain, until the ... Reasonably interesting story, but the author falls down entirely by claiming, with no support whatever, that Iran is developing nuclear weapons and will be ready to deliver them by missiles in the near future.

Turkey, Syria, Russia and China all believe Iran does not have a covert nuclear weapons development program, and this opininion is shared by the ... More »

I agree. Obama's got 360 degree's of problems and the CIA and other nefarious agency's had been known to complicate a new President. Stick with common sense, he seem,s to have an abundance of that.

AS far as Cuba, It's time to open up the door's to relatives and business. The timing couldn't be better.
