Palestine: Assessing the Aftermath in Gaza

On Sunday evening the Israel Defense Forces began a troop withdrawal from Gaza, following three straight weeks of attacks. Israel's unilateral ceasefire was announced earlier in the day, and met with an offer for a one-week ceasefire from Hamas, the full text of which is here. This captures some of the situation obtaining in Gaza as the dust starts to settle in the wake of the Israeli rampage.

The notes, the blogs, the letters, are they journalism. Yes, and in reality are better than journalists. Family, friends, familiar faces, I don't think any journalist can really convey the reality of a loved one's face blown off.

You would think that if anyone would know what goes around comes around, it would be Israel.
