the problem with this story is that the main point, which is how the u.s. gov't did not support the honduras elected president last year in a coup attempt, but seems to be supporting the president of ecuador, another elected leader, is not supported here by enough factual information to make the case. there is a link to more information but there's nothing here which indicates why the u.s. would make such a distinction between the two leaders, except for the financial u.s. connections, and as written, doesn't seem enough.

i'd like to know more information on this. is there another article which explicates this issue more fully?
