Fascinating view of broad Arabic nations' perspectives, including disagreement between the leaders' actions and the people's anger against the Israeli government's attacks on Gaza. Particularly informative are the positions held by Chavez in Venezuela, and Qaddafi in Libya.

The Bush administration's policies have contributed significantly to the rise of Hamas in Gaza, by forcing elections against vehement urging of wiser voices. And the administration's failure to take any meaningful steps toward compelling a cease-fire has fed the Arab world's anger at the US.
