The filibuster. Its like a couple of kids in the play ground shouting did to, did not, did to, did not. What a joke. At least it is just annoying. How about the system that has umpteen lobyists for every senator and congressman in office. What about attaching completely unrelated bits of legislation to major bills. We mock 17th century England with her rotten burroughs and gerrymandering. They were complete amateurs.

Finally, we see the President's opinion thrown in here. It's all about the battle between senators, but what about the man in charge of it all? I finally see what I had assumed from the start, and that is - Obama is frustrated. However, one thing I didn't get from this was why the Republicans who voted in the past, are now filibustering with their cohorts. I want to know what exactly happened to make them flip all of the sudden, and get thrown in with their Republican buddies ... More »

Firsthand, the sources are linked which increases the journalists credibility immediately. Not only are his sources cited, but he also answers the audience questions, evident with the use of rhetorical questions: "Which Republicans may come around? In 2007, 12 Republicans..." The journalist also maintained the article to be unbiased.
