a story which can tell us about both how those in congress do their work, and about the complexities of us as individual people who can be affected by other events. the interview of this congressman by the writer lays out the man's own feelings and thoughts. i find the list of questions about the president's pending decision about the afghan war weakens the effectiveness of the story asthe point of view switches from the congressman to the subjective point of view of the writer.

certainly the questions are important but needed to be another article for this writer
