A Palestinian journalist recounts the opening Israeli attack in Gaza and his reaction to it. The writer's dismay comes through clearly.

This is a tiny piece of a much larger mosaic. The author and his family are the sort of Palestinians it is in Israel's own best interest to keep in Gaza. Israel's murderous attack serves the interests of the warmongers only, and it will not enable Israel to retain the illegal settlements in the West Bank and the Golan Heights.
