I think this is good journalism simply due to the effective way that he used quotes from the president to a house representative. They establish the sentiment that each party is trying to convey. Also, it sheds a light on just how many people this bill will actually be aiding, while still suggesting that the long term effects cannot be determined.

A) I think this article explained just the surface of the new health care law. The intentions were to simply note that this law will benefit many Americans who are in need of proper coverage. It raised both concerns on each side without going to in depth. The quotes issued by Obama and a house rep. equally reflected both parties ideal stance upon the issue. b) I don't think this piece was written to go in depth about the bill itself. It did skim over the benefits while acknowledging that the long term effects would be hard to determine until years later. c) I think it definitely clarified some issues because I haven't heard any positive feedback about healthcare besides criticism. I also appreciated how they put a face on just how many people this law will actually be helping and to what cost. D) This article makes a fair impact on public discourse because it brings up both concerns on such a critical topic. It also offers valid representatives to source from both sides. E)There was no cultural or racial element.
