The British press is all over the place on this appearance, with some claiming there was too much focus on Griffin, that other politicians didn't honor their democratic principles and ganged up on him, and that it gave him the chance to play the martyr. But most seem to agree with the Times that he made a poor showing. I actually love the fact that senior government figures take questions from the studio audience. Far too much on the kerfuffle around the appearance of Mr Griffin and far too little reporting what he and his antagonists actually said.

Nick Griffin and his racist crew are rightly regarded a fascists in Great Britain. If they were here in the U.S. Griffin would join Glen Beck on talk radio and his followers would be called Republicans.

This is quality journalism because it is taking a topic that many people probably don't want to talk about or haven't even heard of and making it public. Although this is happening in Europe it concerns America because of the possibility of power switching hands in Britain. This could in the long run concern us greatly.
