Is America ready for an honest conversation about abortion yet?

Pro-lifers have the luxury of absolute moral certainty, you see. Life begins at conception, they insist, and therefore abortion is murder. Period. And life is the most sacred thing on Earth. Is this formulation without its problems? Of course not - it’s about as inane as are all incredibly simple answers to incredibly complex questions. the major point made here is that neither those who are pro-choice or pro-life desire abortions, and so, if that's the case, why is this the almost violently argued issue for so many? the writer answers in a meaningful way for the most part. what's missing is any real nuance of the other side of his argument as the writer attempts to speak for both views.l. the end regarding the future seems mostly less relevant speculation

Excellent examination and argument on the facts.

If Mother Teresa and Hillary Clinton could find common ground on abortion, most of the rest of us could and should for the betterment of our society. I will never have an abortion, but if the need should ever arise, I would like that option open and I feel that eevery person should have equal rights.

This article is journalism at its finest. It is written with wit, truth, well balanced reasoning and finely tuned & exacting declarations of the verbal positions of both sides of this controversy. I would be proud to nominate this writer for Secretary of Health in Obama’s cabinet.

I refuse to be coerced into an absolutist position over something I know to be so complex. I know there are many correct answers in the abortion debate because I have personally come to many or them from many different perspectives and sometimes the correct answer is to abort. With this in mind, I feel I have no right to force the continuation of a pregnancy on any woman.
