This is a well-written article that gives a good gauge of how people are reacting to the border fence being erected, but fails to address the bloody drug war which is ravaging border towns while assuring that the fence will be largely ineffective. Why this money is being wasted and it's expected impact on the bigger picture would make an interesting read.

This fence was one of Bush's worst decisions guided by fear and ignorance, and promises to be hugely expensive for taxpayers in the end. If Congress does not act to correct these colossal mistakes, then why should we continue to give them our hard-earned money and undeserved support?
