Doesn't offer any real recommendations for weighing economic concerns against efforts to address global warming. But I appreciate it when a newspaper brings an important study to light in an editorial like this. It's a helpful endorsement and it avoids disingenuously promoting it in news article.
Kudos to the P-I Editorial Board for taking a stand on behalf of the environment! They founded their opinion on alarming scientific observations of precipitous decline in mussel population of the northwest corner of Washington, and the implications for both the degree and rate of climate change.
