Giroux uses sentences that are too long, but after you diagram his sentences you find a thorough and well referenced exploration of society and the place of children in society. It is thoughtful and thought provoking.

Act on what is under your control. Shoot your TV and play with your kids. Play, learn, and socialize, its contagious. Plan your lifestyle for the good of the next seven generations. Meet your neighbors. Be informed and vote.

defend and create those social, economic, and cultural conditions that enable the current generation of young people to nurture thoughtfulness, critical agency, compassion, and democracy itself.
