Bush sets free-trade trap for Obama

That's what Bush's moves this week are clearly about: dividing, not uniting. The New York Times reported that during his first meeting with Barack Obama, the outgoing president suggested he might support the Democrats' economic stimulus package and aid to struggling automakers if party leaders "drop their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia." While Bush keeps repeating how "tirelessly" he's working for a "smooth transition," he is stacking the deck against Obama in every way he can. He's signing as many new regulations and signing statements as he can (hundreds, I'm told), that Obama will need to spend valuable time reviewing so he can overturn. Now Bush pulls this at the G-20. As if he hasn't left a big enough MESS in every possible nook and cranny of his sneaky, corrupt, anti-human rights administration! I personally plan to go outdoors and literally DANCE IN THE STREETS, on January 20. It's my birthday AND the day we can begin to heal and become AMERICANS again!
