Interesting side aspects of the nuclear waste disaster in Washington state are presented. Radioactive waste passage into the ecosystem, and potentially humans adds an urgency to this much neglected cleanup. The critical threat to the Columbia River is not mentioned.

Great headline! Definitely an eye catcher, makes you want to tag it and see what the fuss is about. Clear and concise paragraphs. Has several links to backup facts. Mr. Wald even sites other areas that are concerned with radioactive animals and their feces. The article raises several concerns such as, Do they pose a health hazard to those who come in contact with them? Will the effected speices die out due to the radioactive material? How will this impact the eco system?
