Philadelphia is shaping up to be a key city in a key battleground state in this election, but machine problems and long lines may plague the polling stations and voter disenfranchisement will be a serious risk. Unfortunately for voters, the people charged with running a smooth election in Philly seem surprisingly unconcerned. Clearly favorable to the voting rights group, but an effective piece nevertheless. ANP's confrontation of the election commissioner is an example of traditional public interest journalism. Her quotes were revealing of the flippancy of public officials of her ilk, and important to capture, this being the eve of a pivotal election. Ultimately I'm not bothered that this piece was covered with an editorial bias -- its impact would been lesser had it practiced the equivalence of mainstream news reporting.
