Not to be missed by anyone following the Israel/Palestine issue. Juan Cole is one of the very best commentators on the situation, and the political incapacity of the US to seek an actual resolution of the problem.

Israel should accept the pre-1967 borders, and accept the Arab peace plan. If 25,000 peacekeepers are necessary, so be it.

The value of a blog depens entirely on the credentials of the writer. Cole's credentials are impeccable so I learned something that I didn't know but that seems significant to me since it is further evidence of how far McCain has fallen.
