As usual, comedy makes a bigger impact on how voters view campaign claims than "serious" news. So I've linked the Colbert clip Hayes references. But Hayes' argument is apt. The socialist party exists and is active. They provide a diversity of opinion and provide views that help put politics into full relief. The Colbert irony attack may help put the correct definition back upon the word socialism. Hayes' take on the skit is informed and thoughtful. Both are recommended.
