Another good example of her grasp of science is her attitude on wolves and the ungulates they prey on. If she needs the story in an easily absorbed form, she could read Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat. She could also ask her husband. His ancestors have understood the relationship between predator and prey for thousands of years.
