Obama's First 100 Days

We may be looking at a reverse of 1980, when Reagan won a 10-point victory over Jimmy Carter, and Republicans took the Senate and, working with Boll Weevil Democrats, effective control of the House.

So I'm reading along wondering what alien possessed Pat Buchanan's brain as he predicts an Obama victory. Until I got to the line about how wonderful the Reagan years were. My friends, I remember those years and my 19.5% second mortgage. That's when I knew Buchanan was back. While a few of the things he lists as the things we should fear during the coming Democratic administration are probably true, the others are flat-out lies. And the last, the first trillion-dollar deficit, we have George Bush to thank for. Obama will inherit it, not cause. As for many of the others, as a delegate to the California State Democratic Party, I can claim some knowledge of Party priorities. And I haven't heard word one about most any of these. Not one. In short, the old Pat Buchanan is back. And he's full of it.
