Barack Obama has prospered in this presidential campaign because of the steadiness of his temperament and the judicious quality of his decision-making. They are his best-known qualities.

The article is largely an interview and analysis of Barack's character and style. That is an important part of why he is winning. The story is nice, but not especially incisive or revealing if you have been following the campaign.
