The data show that increased greenhouse gases will create more exaggerated weather such as heavier snow over shorter periods, wetter weather resulting in floods, drier weather resulting in drought. The article reports on the case made by climate skeptics that there have always been periods of extreme weather, but asserts that the trends now are more pronounced and far reaching. The article could have benefited from a brief description of how heat trapping gases effect wind and currents.
