I appreciate this survey of independent candidates running for Congressional seats this fall. It's simple, factual and straight forward. Nothing flashy, but I probably wouldn't have heard much about these races otherwise. This could have been expanded to include the candidates' positions on key issues.

I tend to vote third-party, particularly in state elections, so it's good to see some coverage. Democrats and Republicans are woefully resistant to engaging independent candidates. This is too easily and readily accepted as just the way things go. It's frustrating that voting, the sacred cow of civic involvement, is held so high, but when I vote for the person I believe most fit for an office it's called a throwaway.
