Illegal immigration: Obama, McCain walk a fine line on divisive issue

When it comes to presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain, some in Utah don't see much contrast in their stands on immigration.

Often it's the local and regional news outlets that test the political and social climate of a town, county, or state most effectively. Salt Lake Tribune, a paper we rarely see on NewsTrust, offers us a fair, factual report on voter reaction to immigration and its role in this election. Many sources sited representing varied viewpoints. A thorough look at immigration issues through the Western U.S. lens, represented by Utah. Good side-by-side look at what the candidates' views are, and what local Democrats and Republican candidates for Congress are saying to their constituents; good reminder that all politics are local.
