This opinion piece has no journalistic merit. It is a promotional piece for the Obama campaign and ignores the hate coming from that campaign, which is far worse than anything the Republicans have done. He does not mention the incidents last weekend in Philadelphia where one Obama supporter yelling "Let's stone her" at Palin, and the many raw sexist attacks on her and the many vicious attacks on McCain about his age. The piece sounds like Obama expressing his contempt for people who "cling to guns and religion".
