Analysis Sees Baucus Bill Meeting Obama’s Cost and Deficit Targets

The cost analysis is in: the Senate Finance Committee’s health care legislation, as amended during seven days of debate, would cost a projected $829 billion over 10 years, up from $774 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office. And it would reduce the future federal deficit by $81 billion, up from an earlier projected deficit reduction of $49 billion.
