Consider McCain's health as well as candidate's age

As a physician, I am concerned that presidential candidate John McCain has not been willing to release his medical records for public scrutiny. While I can appreciate that the senator is a "very young" 72-year-old man, he is clearly at an age where his mortality is significantly more likely than for a younger man. A medical doctor makes a sound case for the relevance of McCain's medical records and for the release of those records. His age, his cancer battles, and the fact he allowed reporters and doctors only three hours (no copying of records allowed) to peruse 1,173 pages of his medical documents raises the suspicion he is hiding something damaging. This opoinion piece has minimal journalistic merit. It is a typical attack on McCain in a paper that is a reliable Democratic Party organ. There is no balance and the one quote is from the Huffington Post.
