Notes:
This story is less effective than it could have been because it buries the lead. The unlikely grassroots alliance that convinced five cosponsors to reverse course on the HR 362, in the face of the influential AIPAC lobby, is the heart of this story and should have been introduced higher. The reporting isn't bad, although more independent perspectives would have helped balance it.
Notes:
The story is an interesting instance of the Israeli war lobby steamrollering of the US congress being turned back. The story gives some of the key players, but fails to fully identify who from what party submitted the war resolution to start with. No information is given whether presidential politics were involved in the rollback of the war resolution.
