Background: the First Brigade of the Third Infantry Division, three to four thousand soldiers, has been deployed in the United States as of October 1. I don't think an interview with one former colonel was the right way to explain this story. The interview style makes for an interesting, but not highly informative read. I want to see vetted more of the facts and ramifications of the Third Infantry Division's active presence on U.S. soil.
