This is an interesting story about the McCain Health Plan that puts it context of real world of costs and benefits. The fact that an independent group without a particular point of view indicates the McCain plan will cost $1.3 Trillion dollars over ten years certainly puts doubt about his plan and that the plan does not prevent private insurers from eliminating pre-existing conditions certainly makes those who are ageing or already have pre-exising conditions much interested in looking at the Obama Health plan. This is further evidenced by the fact noted by the article that the McCain plan does not state the costs to his plan by "assisting" states to deal with those with pre-existing conditions that may not find insurer to insure them or who may not have the money to get insurance. Finally, the fact McCain has announced that he would "find' savings in the Medicare program by indicating a reduction of "fraud", does not fully explain how much savings that would entail nor if he would raise the costs of medicate coverage. My doubt regarding the story is I don't know the writer/reporter, thus I gave 4's to the qestions.
