British Media Snobs Look Down Their Noses at Palin

Overall, the vast majority of media coverage in the UK of Sarah Palin has been neutral sneering to downright nasty. One thing that has become apparent, again, is the complete inability to grasp the realities of American politics in the British media. Pyjamas Media tends to give 'alternate takes' on the news, with more than a biased slant in favour of its article leader than most. But, as far as I am aware, what it does present is factual.

The British media sources do, for the most part, originate in the USA.

The author refers to "the Daily Kos-spewed lies " being repeated in the UK media but he does very little to refute those claims other then posting a link to a site as biased as he claims DK is. He uses the term snob in such a manner that it seems anyone in the Brit press who disagrees with him is a "snob". The article seems kind of like an elitist (elite because his views may be in the minority) criticizing what he determines to be "snobs".

This news analysis is excellent journalism. The author has done a thorough survey of major media attitudes in the U.K. about the U.S. election, provides ample quotations as a foundation for his analysis, and is fair-mined and objective.
